Christmas Service of Solace
December 17 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
For many of us, Christmastime isn’t the happiest time of the year. The loss of a loved one (recent or not), financial stress, life transitions, depression, and many other factors can contribute to our not feeling cheery, expectant, or like we believe we should feel during this time. But Advent and Christmas are not seasons only for the joyous – there is space and a place for everyone in this sacred season.
With this in mind, we would like to invite community members to join us for a “” in St Paul’s at 9:00am on Sun 17 Dec. The aim of this service is to create a sacred and supportive environment where we can bring some of the difficulties we face in this Christmas Season without judgement or comment. It will not be a ‘normal’ church service – and therefore our hope is that people from all faiths or none will feel welcome to join us, and that through a simple ritual begin to ‘let go’ or ‘integrate’ these realities into our daily lives.
